Join the Jewish Historical Society of South Carolina and Historic Columbia for an evening to celebrate the launch of Kugels & Collards, a lively collection of South Carolina Jewish stories and special family recipes. In this book, authors Rachel Gordin Barnett and Lyssa Kligman Harvey explore the food history, traditions, and memories of the Jewish community in South Carolina, building on their blog of the same title.
Guests will be treated to reception using recipes from the book and will enjoy a meet and greet with the authors and book contributors.
Pre-ordered books will be available for pickup at event check-in and will also be available for purchase at the event while supplies last. Kugels & Collards is published by University of South Carolina Press.
Proceeds from the sale of the book go to support the mission of the Jewish Historical Society of South Carolina and Historic Columbia.
